These sari blankets are made of layers of recycled sari and layers of stories. Made in India at Love Calcutta Arts by women who have found freedom from prostitution and sexual exploitation through alternative employment. They are strong, warm, comforting and colorful, very much like the women who made them. Hand quilted using the Kantha stitch.
