Beth grew up in Honduras Central America in a missionary family who served in a remote area doing humanitarian work and church planting. These formative years shaped her world view as she witnessed first-hand the sad realities of poverty and the transforming power of the love of Jesus.
She went on to earn degrees in Bible and Medical Technology with dreams of medical missions. After college, she met and married the love of her life, Harold Tuggy (also a lifelong missionary kid!). She and her husband of 32 years live in Bellwood PA and have 4 adult children, two sons-in-law, and one very adorable granddaughter.
Instead of medical missions, God called her to the greatest adventure of a lifetime…. homeschooling her children and being a stay-at-home mom! During those years she also volunteered in local organizations, taught classes, lead a Keepers of the Home club, helped organize and facilitate summer bible camps, went on mission’s trips, and served in her local church. These experiences equipped her with transferable skills for the entrepreneurial venture of co-owning and operating a small business called Gifthopper.
In 2021 she started volunteering for Bridges4Justice and in 2022 was invited to come on staff as the Operations Facilitator. She now serves as the Director of Operations and finds joy in the beautiful unity of working with team members who are pulling in the same direction to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Other favorite activities are nature adventures with her husband, spending each Friday with her very adorable granddaughter, serving her adult children whenever possible, gardening, card making, and leadership within her local church.
